Fabulous September Weekend!

Carson surrounded by a group of girls that we do not even know!
Happy birthday to you!!

The weather could not have been more wonderful! We started off the weekend with Carson and Caitlin attending the Homecoming parade with Angie. They had a blast, especially when the picture message I received on my phone was titled "cavities." This message brought to you by our very own Dental Hygienist, Angie. Upon their arrival home it was their father saying, no more candy today or for the rest of the weekend, as he viewed the shopping bag loaded to the handles with SUGAR! No need to go trick-or-treating!

The kids came home and awaited the 9 p.m. arrival of Jade and Josie, and of course Aunt Lisa. Saturday morning came early, especially for me since it was a friends night out at the 9:45 showing of "THE WOMEN." Caitlin had soccer pictures at 8 a.m. before her 9 o'clock soccer game. She was great, even with a cough, she scored two goals. We missed her cross country meet in Toledo because of the soccer conflict, so no running report.

We managed to celebrate Jason's 33rd birthday with pizza and Dairy Queen ice cream cake... (see photos) Our friends, the Reeds came as well as Lauri and Jeff to have cake with us. He finished his 100 mile running goal for the week, so he had a great day!

Sunday we participated in Church aerobics. That involves up and down the aisles heading to the back of church with one loud Carly. Back and forth, up and down, digging through the diaper bag for entertainment, head crashing into the pew, some crying, and some sweating... but, we survived yet another week of church near the front for an hour and a half of what is supposed to be time with God. I keep saying as I walk out, I am going to hire a babysitter... Jason says church is family time, and keeps me grounded. :)

At home the kids help dad to wash his car on the front lawn... what a hoot! I look out and they are washing bikes, wagons, and splashing around together. Carson asks for a "washclosh" to clean off the Radio Flyer tricycle. Then onto riding their bikes in swimsuits and tennis shoes. Oh, they are grasping onto the last warm days of the year.

Look out for the busy week to come...
